Willie Garson, the Poker Star!
I
always loved Willie Garson when he played Stanford Blatch on "Sex
and the City" with Sarah Jessica Parker. He was so adorable!
And I even got to play poker against him at Hollywood
Poker one night at this weekly tournament they have called the
"Michael
Woods Invitational." He was hilarious! This tournament
is always full of celebrities, and he was messing with all of them.
But despite how funny he was and how much fun he was having, he
was still a really good player. I can imagine how well he plays
when he's being REALLY serious! He even ended up getting the nickname
"Evil Willie" when he appeared on the Celebrity Poker
Showdown because of how merciless he was in taking other players
out!
The other really cool thing I found out about him is that he's been on almost every show I used to watch when I was younger: he was on "Cheers" with Ted Danson and Kelsey Grammer, "Family Ties" with Michael J. Fox, and "Quantum Leap" with Scott Bakula, and I never noticed! He's also been in a lot of very popular movies like "There's Something About Mary" with Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz, and "Being John Malkovich."
