Vince Van Patten, the Poker Star!

Vince Van Patten never really had a chance to NOT be famous: he was born into such an entertainment-based family that if he had told them that he wanted to be a doctor or a lawyer they might have disowned him! Vince's father Dick Van Patten was always an avid poker player and taught Vince all about gambling when he was young. Obviously the teachings stuck with Vince as he eventually became a terrific poker player, the co-commentator of the World Poker Tour, and the King of the Hollywood Home Game! Now, his newest adventure, is teaming up with James Woods.

Just like Matthew Perry, Vince Van Patten started out as a pro tennis player, and just like Matthew Perry he was nationally ranked. After he left tennis he went into movies with his brother James Van Patten, and is still making movies to this day. As well as being on the WPT, Vince's production company Autumn Winds is developing "Sharpe," a feature film about a professional poker player who moves to Las Vegas to play in one of the biggest games in the world.
