James Woods at The National Heads-Up Poker Championship
James Woods will do his best to prove to the world that celebrities can play poker with the best of them. Before getting ready for his new television show Shark, James Woods will be hitting the poker tables at the the National Heads-Up Poker Championship. The tournament will host some of the best poker players in the world and James Woods will have some heavy competition if he plans on leaving the nationally televised tournament with all of the tournament’s chips.
There are going to be 64 players in the tournament and two of the high profile tables will be televised on NBC . Hollywood Poker’s James Woods will be sitting at the second table and with competition like Johnny Chan, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Erick Lindgren and Shawn “Sheiky” Sheikhan a win will not be an easy task. Things are not any easier at the other featured table with players like Phil Hellmuth, Chris Ferguson, Jennifer Tilly, Paul Phillips, Josh Arieh and Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi showing off their poker faces.
If James Woods does manage to make his way into the final pack he will need to face off against last year’s winner of the National Heads-Up Poker Championship Phil Hellmuth. Between Phil Hellmuth and others that make it through the competition the tournament will defiantly result in some bragging rights for the winner.
The National Heads-Up Poker Championship begins on Sunday, April 16 and you can watch Hollywood Poker’s James Woods on the following week Sunday, April 23.
