Vince Van Pattan Stars in Poker Film

Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds will show off his poker skills for the silver screen in the upcoming film Deal. Burt Reynolds will play a veteran card shark who takes a young college student played by Bret Harrison under his gambling wing and shows him the ropes of Texas Hold’em and now to play the player not the cards. It does sound like a lot of other movies, but it still should be a good one to check out, especially if you’re a poker fan. The film takes a twist once Burt Reynolds’ character has to face Harrison’s character in the final showdown at the World Series of Poker.

Shooting will begin in the upcoming day in New Orleans. Deal will feature a stellar cast which features heavyweights in the movie world and at the poker table. In addition to Reynolds, blonde bombshell Tara Reid will be joining the cast. The make Deal have more of real poker feel, the film’s producers enlisted the help of poker icons Phil "The Unabomber" Laak, Antonio "The Magician" Esfandari and Hollywood Poker’s Vince Van Pattan.

The film is directed by writer-director Gil Cates Jr., whose previous screen efforts include , NetForce and Screening. Burt Reynolds most recent work includes The Dukes of Hazzard and The Longest Yard and Bret Harrison currently stars on TV's The Loop.
