James Woods appear on ER

When someone mentions the term Movie Star Poker the name James Woods is usually one of the first that come to mind. Hollywood Poker’s golden star will be appearing on an upcoming episode of ER.

In the Feb. 2 episode of ER James Woods will play Doctor Nate Lennox. The show will be about Wood’s character coping with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig`s disease. During the show Nate Lennox will visit his former student Dr. Abby Lockhart, played by Maura Tierney as the advanced stages of ALS kick in.

Wood’s took a lot of time to prepare for the episode, part of this involved spending time with six people living with ALS and hearing their courageous stories on how they live with the disease.

There are some things about him (the Lennox character) that are likable, even wonderful, and there are some things about him than can be irritating,” said Woods. “Every human being has warts and all.”

Woods is known for playing a wide range of characters in films like Casino, Nixon, Once Upon A Time in America and Ghosts of Mississippi.
