Win $80 Million Playing Poker

The world’s richest poker event will be held next year in Australia, the prize will be $80 million.

The tournament will be held at the Melbourne's Crown Casino, with a buy-in of $13.3 million, with an estimated 100 million people watching around the world on Fox’s Sports Network.

"This event in July with this money will make this the biggest event in the world," explained Richard Longhurst, the casinos owner.

He added that eight of the world’s top players have expressed interest in playing and three of them of said they will be there for sure. Only those invited will be allowed to play and the list of people invited is fairly slim.

Hometown poker champ Joe Hachem is someone Longhurst wants to play, especially after he won $10 million at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas earlier this year.

"If Joe wants to play, we'd be happy to have him on board,' said Longhurst. "We're going to have talks with Joe."

The pot will not be split, the last person sitting at the final table wins everything.
